Margaret, Katherine, Mike, Edward and Toby would like to extend an invitation to Simon’s friends, colleagues, neighbours, and wider circle to join them in remembering him and giving thanks to God for his life.
There will be a memorial service at 2 pm on Thursday 11 January 2017 in St. Mary Redcliffe Church, 12 Colston Parade, Avon, Bristol, BS1 6RA (a short walk from Bristol Temple Meads Station).
Please stay for refreshments in the church after the service (courtesy of Osborne Clarke, the law firm from which Simon retired after 30 years as a partner in May 2016).
There will be an opportunity to donate to the charities for which Simon was fundraising in his great Round the World adventure – Orbis and Practical Action – in his honour. In the sponsorship page in his blog, Simon eloquently describes his reasons for choosing to support these two organisations.
